{The Great Kitten Challenge: Diana G. Gallagher}

{Synopsis} – When Kyle and Mia discover three abandoned kittens, they know they have to help. Kyle and Mia take turns caring for the kittens, but they both already have pets of their own. Will they be able to find the perfect home for the kittens they've come to love?

{My thoughts} – This book was so cute. Kyle and Mia find some abandoned kittens. They tell Kyle’s mom and she helps them get better since they are week and not quite old enough to eat and drink on their own. They then have to find homes for the kittens. While they are taking care of the kittens they are also feeding the mother, which they eventually are able to catch and also take to his mom for care. At the end of the book all four cats have new homes.

I volunteer and foster for the SPCA here in town. This book reminds me that there is a cause behind what I do and why I do it. My children also help with the caring of the animals that I foster. It helps to show them that they can make a difference in an animals life. It also helps them to understand that you don’t have to keep every animal you help. It shows them that there are people out there that are interested in helping to give them their forever homes.

I also like how the book ends with discussion questions and gives you something to think about. I think any child can benefit from the thought process after finishing such a wonderful book. I look forward to seeing what my own children think of this book once I let them read it.

Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
