{Last Wishes: Victoria Schwab}

{Last Wishes: Victoria Schwab}

{Synopsis} – Meet a guardian angel like no other, from a writer like no other. Bold, rising star Victoria Schwab returns with the third book in this whimsical, inspiring, and clever middle-grade series.

At first glance, Aria seems like your average twelve-year-old girl. But there's much more to her than meets the eye. Aria is a guardian angel, sent here to earn her wings. But to do that she'll have to help three different girls. . . .

This time, Aria must help Mikayla, whose family is having financial troubles. Her parents are putting pressure on her to be an award-winning dancer. Mikayla wants to help her family, but she's not sure this is the life she wants. Can Aria help her strike a balance and find true happiness?

{My thoughts} – Aria is on a new mission to help another girl in her times of need. Aria has been doing so well at finding herself and helping those she helps find themselves.

Mikayla is a girl that dances. She dances for the competitions. She dances for the medals. She dances for the praise. However, she no longer dances for herself.

It is Aria’s mission to figure out what about dance is causing Mikayla so many problems. She is a good dancer and she is a lovely girl to be around. Aria tries to help Mikayla find herself throughout the book by showing her how to have fun and enjoy life again, without making everything about dance. However, Mikayla is still caught up on trying to be the best, the golden girl that she doesn’t really see where Aria is coming from.

Once Aria completes this mission she should have the last charm for her bracelet. The question is what happens to Aria next?

Can Aria help Mikayla find her passion in dance again? Can Aria help Mikayla to find her way? What happens to Aria once she finishes this mission with Mikayla? Where will Aria go from here?

I recommend this book for any child trying to find themselves in a chaotic world. I also think children in families where they believe they have to stay strong and try and fix the problems in the household, could benefit from this reading this book. Mikayla goes through a lot within these pages, but with Aria by her side it seems everything is a little easier for her to handle.

I really enjoyed this series and I think that the author could have expanded on it a lot, there are many problems that children face in modern day that aren’t addressed enough. I look forward to seeing what my own daughter thinks of this series when she reads it!

Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
