{Perilous Light: Alyssa Rose Ivy}

{Synopsis} –Would you sacrifice everything for a world you barely knew?

A year has passed since Charlotte and Kevin first stepped
through the gate into Energo and neither has been able to settle back into their normal lives. Charlotte tries to distract herself from thoughts of Calvin with the antics of James and her growing friendship with Liam. Kevin can’t seem to shake his feelings for Samantha as he adjusts to his new identity as a college basketball player.

When they unexpectedly return to Energo, both Charlotte and Kevin must face their fears and become the leaders they were always meant to be.

{My Thoughts} – This book picks up a year later after the first. It is written in the point of view of Charlotte, Calvin and Kevin. Charlotte is forced to come to terms with her position is the new Essence. Kevin is faced with learning how to lead innocent individuals into battle. Calvin is forced to walk away from the only individual that has offered him guidance in order to protect Charlotte’s well being.

The more I read this story line the more I become sad when it ends. It ends leaving me wanting more and questioning everything I have read in order to try and figure out what will be in the next book. However, I am not good at deducing such information so it has come as little surprises when I learn something new. The ending of this book has a wonderful surprise, one that makes me want the third book right now so I can see what is going to happen.

If you like books that are based on fairy-tale like story lines this is an excellent book set to read. I have enjoyed it from the very start and am definitely interested in how the series will be concluded.

Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
