Only when her self-inflicted injuries bring her near death does she realize she has the power and the support from an unlikely place to stand up to her fears and believe in herself again. Tristis Manor is a novella from The Never Chronicles, an epic fantasy series.

{My Thoughts} – This book is about a girl named Margaret and her life. She is a 9 year-old girl through most of the book. She lives with her mother whom isn’t nice to her at all. Her father is always away on business. She has mostly been raised by the staff that work in the Manor in which she lives. This little girl is so terrified of what her mother is capable of doing to her that she shuts down more or less and doesn’t say anything to her father. She has to find ways in which to deal with all the hurt that consumes her. She begins self-harming. This book tears at your heart and makes you truly feel bad for the little girl. The ending however, was not expected.

Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
