As Charlotte is pulled deeper into this hidden world, it&#039;s up to her older brother Kevin to rescue her. No matter how hard Kevin tries, the rescue depends upon Charlotte fighting her intense feelings for Calvin while mastering a set of abilities that she has only just discovered she possesses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>{My Thoughts} &#8211;<\/strong> This book is about a girl named Charlotte and her family&#8217;s secret. She is born and raised in the United States, but that isn&#8217;t where she is really from. Her family has secrets and with her dad away on a job and her mother dead she and he brother are left in the care of their Uncle.<\/p>\n<p>Things I loved about this book. I loved how it was slow to get to the point. I loved how it was eased into the paranormal portions and it wasn&#8217;t forced immediately at the beginning of the book. I also enjoyed the fact that it approached the paranormal world in a different manner. In a sense it reminded me of the premise of <strong>{Alice in Wonderland}<\/strong>. I believe that if you enjoyed that book set you would enjoy reading this book. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.<\/p>\n<p>The only thing I didn&#8217;t like was that the two names Calvin and Kevin are within it&#8217;s pages. They are so similar when I was reading I would mix them up on occasion.
