You can pierce your ears when you’re twelve. You can go to the mall with your friends when you’re twelve. You can babysit little Timmy next door when you’re twelve. You can get a cell phone when you’re twelve. Hey, you can even ride in the front passenger-side seat when you’re twelve.

My name is Rory Swenson, and I’ve been waiting to turn twelve my whole life. In exactly 18 hours, 36 minutes, and 52 seconds, it will finally happen.
\nMy life will officially begin.<\/p>\n

{My thoughts} \u2013 <\/strong> I don’t usually tend to read book descriptions before I start reading them. I highly enjoy just picking up a book, reading it and going along for the surprise within the pages. This books ties into the first one in the series, however, it is a much more entertaining read. I wouldn’t be giving the book justice if I didn’t say I laughed so much throughout this book. <\/p>\n

Rory is about to be turning twelve years old and with that comes a whole new list of things she should be able to do. Her parents have told her time and again that there were certain things that she wouldn’t be able to do until she turned twelve. Rory being a practical child kept track of all these firsts that she’d soon be able to participate in. Things like getting a phone, piercing her ears, going to a boy\/girl party, going to the mall without parental supervision and more. <\/p>\n

There is a lot going on in Willow Falls during this book, the most stand out thing is that Rory’s school is being turned into a set for a movie. Rory and her best friend end up getting parts as extras and well things go a little on the bonkers side. However, even though I laughed so much, I truly did feel bad for all the things that kept going on. It kind of made me think of the series {A Series of Unfortunate Events} because oh my goodness, did she have a string of bad luck over the course of a short amount of time. <\/p>\n

If you enjoy books that can make you laugh out loud, I am certain you will enjoy this book. If you haven’t read the first book you should, because some of the things mentioned in this book might not make a whole lot of sense until you do. This is definitely a great book and could make an awesome gift for any child on or around the age of twelve! <\/p>\n
