{Synopsis} – Curlilocks likes pancakes, blueberries and butterflies. She forgets her manners and enters a little yellow cottage belonging to a family of Pink Pandas. She devours their food, breaks Pumpkin’s comb and snores in their bed. Will she remember her manners?
{My thoughts} – I read this book to all three of my children today after school. I have not read them the traditional story of Goldilocks and the three bears. They enjoyed the story very much. Their ages are 10, 8 and 7. My 7 year – old said he liked all the colors in the book the most. My 8 year – old said he liked how the words in the book went with the pictures so well. My 10 year – old said that she really enjoyed reading about the pink pandas. After all her favorite color is pink.
This was an incredibly nice and fast read. I enjoyed it as it is a different take on the original story. The storyline went well with the illustrations and it was well written also. I thought that the first few pages were slightly jumpy but after that it all read smoothly. I am sure that any child and parent will fall in love with this story as have my children and I.
