{Synopsis} – The Melowies are required to perform a musical in front of all of Destiny. Selene does not want to participate because she made a fool of herself the last time she performed publicly. With a little encouragement from her friends she auditions and wins the role of the moon! A rival Melowy sabotages her performance, throwing green pain all over Selene’s costume before the performance. Nevertheless, she closes her eyes and sings. The school is amazed by her voice and both teacher and peers praise her performance.
{My thoughts} – This is the second book in the Melowy Series. It picks up where the first book had left off for the most part. It helps to introduce the readers to a new character. Her name is Eris and she appears to be mean and somewhat of a bully.
In this book all the first years gave to participate in a musical. And the musical is used as a means to get all of them to work together and achieve a common goal.
If your interested in finding out what happens you’ll need to read the book. I personally enjoyed reading it and think that others will as well. It’s a nice beginner chapter book that will make an excellent addition to any child’s home library.
