{Eclipse: Stephanie Meyer}

{Synopsis} – As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob – knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

Readers captivated by Twilight and New Moon will eagerly devour Eclipse, the much-anticipated third book in Stephenie Meyer's riveting vampire love saga.

{My thoughts} – It is important to have read Twilight and then New Moon in this order to understand this books beginning at all. There is no back history mentioned in this book in the least and without reading the previous two in the correct order the reader will certainly be lost. This book focus’s mainly on the love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob. Jacob has a thing for Bella and that makes more sense in the 4th book. However, in this book there is also an attack that takes place due to newborn vampires being created in Seattle and they are completely out of control – so this book deals with that as well. But the most important part of this book is the love triangle. If Edward were not in the picture – then Bella would have been destined to be with Jacob – which is the ideal relationship given that being with him means she doesn’t have to sacrifice her life. To be with Edward she has to sacrifice her humanity – Its a good book and if you read the first two then you should always read the next in the series – however, its just a suggestion.

Final Conclusion: 3 Star Rating.
