{Synopsis} –It's 1996, and Josh and Emma have been neighbors their whole lives. They've been best friends almost as long – at least, up until last November, when Josh did something that changed everything. Things have been weird between them ever since, but when Josh's family gets a free AOL CD in the mail,his mom makes him bring it over so that Emma can install it on her new computer. When they sign on, they're automatically logged onto their Facebook pages. But Facebook hasn't been invented yet. And they're looking at themselves fifteen years in the future.
By refreshing their pages, they learn that making different decisions now will affect the outcome of their lives later. And as they grapple with the ups and downs of what their futures hold, they're forced to confront what they're doing right – and wrong – in the present.
{My thoughts} – I really enjoyed reading this book. Its written in a time {1996} before the internet was extremely popular and overtaking everyone’s lives. Emma and Josh are the main character’s they were raised living next to each other and have become best friends. Emma gets a new computer from her father and wh
The more they learn about their future’s the more they become obsessed with it. Emma learns things about her future she doesn’t like so she wills herself to change it and then learns that what she does affects things that happen with Josh and everyone else’s future around her. It ends with Emma losing access to Facebook and her and Josh finally figuring out what they really want out of their lives. en she hooks it up she gets an AOL Cd-rom from Josh. She sets up her username and password and then Facebook appears on her screen. She soon learns that Facebook is from the future and she tells Josh about it. Together they both learn what their future lives are going to be like and what their friends will be like in the future.
