{Synopsis} – This picture storybook adaptation of Frank L. Baum’s classic tale will take little ones on a magical adventure through Emerald City, encountering the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion along the way.
{My thoughts} – I am a huge fan of books that retell classic stories. When I ran across this little gem while out shopping at TJ Max I just had to have it for the girls. This is one of my all time favorite stores from when I was a child. It’s timeless and classic and it’s feeds your imagination at a young age.
I have not shared this book with my girls at this point. I am planning to give it as one of their Christmas gifts. It has a simplified version of the classic tale within it’s pages. The illustrations are brightly colored and eye catching, which will have the ability to hold a child’s interest and fascination throughout the story.
I highly recommend this book for anyone that wants to introduce their loved one to the classic wizard of oz tale. I am hoping that this book will become a favorite between my girls. I know I won’t mind reading it over and over to them!
