{Alice in Wonderland: Geronimo Stilton}

{Alice in Wonderland: Geronimo Stilton}

{Synopsis} – A magical classic with a squeaky twist! Alice’s enchanted world has never looked so furry. This Alice doesn’t need to fall down a rabbit hole. She’s got a mousehole of her own, thanks very much! The Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the Mock Turtle are all waiting for Alice in Wonderland. But will she survive a very scary game of croquet? Holey Cheese!

{My thoughts} – Alice in Wonderland is retold through the eyes of a mouse. I kid you not! A tiny squeaking little mouse. Although she doesn’t stay a tiny squeaking mouse throughout the entire book. If your knowledgeable of the original Alice in Wonderland story then this one will be a fun read. If this is your first introduction to Alice in Wonderland, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the read, but also recommend you read the original. It helps to put this story into perspective.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. This is the second Geronimo Stilton book I have read. I was looking for books based on Alice in Wonderland and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for the girls when I came across these. My oldest daughter now age 15 had loved these books when she was younger so I thought I’d get these for the younger girls in hopes they will like them as much as their older sister did. The illustrations are incredible and very Mouse like. The text is fun, it has different colored words throughout to emphasis some stuff and then the fun phases like “Holy Cheese!” Expressions that are revolved around things that you’d expect to hear from a mouse like character.

Alice is a girl that falls down the a rabbit hole chasing after a strange white rabbit. She goes on a fun, but unrealistic adventure within the pages of this book. The story really helps a child to use their imaginations. The illustrations further help to show children what they should be imagining to an extent. When everything is said and done, at the end of this book, Alice is woken up by her sister and told it was all a dream.

I really think anyone that is a fan of classic lit should have this book. It is a great introduction to the classics for a younger audience that is an incredible fun read. It’s also a bonus if they already like Alice in Wonderland and well Mice.

Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
