Chase and Ava need to stay one step ahead of this bad guy. And they need to find some answers! Oriol Vidal’s engaging illustrations appear on every page. Newly independent readers will eat up this time-travel series from New York Times bestselling author Wendy Mass.

{My thoughts} – Chase and Ava pick up right where the last book had ended. When the book begins the two children are trying to sort out what it means to be a Time Jumper and what it means to be able to travel and fix – fixed points in history. They come up with a plan and try to follow it for their next adventure. Of course, if anyone knows anything about reading fun adventure books, you know that plan ends up going out the window and they are more or less unprepared for their trip into the past.

In this adventure they get to take part in the finding of King Tuts tomb. This is an incredible date in history and for some unknown reason Randall is trying to stop it from happening. One could only assume he has other motives and wants to keep the tomb hidden for his own personal agenda. The children get to the dig site and discover that Randall is already there and he is waiting for them. They can’t understand completely how he is there when the last saw he was being thrown into King Arthur’s Dungeon. They quickly figure out that he has a remote too that allows him to time jump like them.

The children go about trying to make the Tomb be found. Eventually they find a way to make everything happen as it should have in the past. However, they soon find out that they are trapped in the past with no remote to get back. They confront Randall hoping he will help them get back, he hits his remote and takes off into the present.

If you wanna find out if they get back to the present you’ll need to read the book. It’s well worth it. If you haven’t read the first in the series you should. It’s amazing.

I highly recommend this book and series for any child that loves to use their imagination and go on adventures!

Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
