{Battle in a Bottle: Frank Asch}

{Battle in a Bottle: Frank Asch}

{Synopsis} – It's late at night and Big Gray, the monster cat, is on the prowl. Brother and sister mice, Molly and Jake, are safe inside the walls of P.S. 42, building their nests. Jake should have listened to Molly's advice and stayed inside. But he wants nothing to do with school, class pets, or even kids. While Molly is learning the secret art of X-ray vision from Gino, Jake is getting into trouble on the playground in another tangle with Big Gray. The only place he can find to hide is inside a ketchup bottle…and that's when the battle begins!

{My thoughts} – Molly and Jake had decided it was a good idea to make P.S. 42 their new home. They had enjoyed their first night. They liked all the other animals that lived in the school and decided it was time to make the wall that they’d chosen to live in more home like to them. That meant that it was time for them to build some nests so that they’d both have a soft, cozy and wonderful place to rest when they wanted to sleep.

In the previous book Jake had a run in with a cat named Big Grey. Big Grey comes back again to help liven the story within the book. Jake ends up going on another adventure thanks to Big Grey and ends up getting trapped inside a bottle. The question is, “Will Jake get free?” or “Will he become kitty chow?” The only way to find out is to read the book.

Jake finds out that Big Grey is out to get him, and now has to worry about the fallback for the choices he made that involved the car. Molly and the other animals work on the nests and by the end of the book…. Naw, I’m not going to tell you what happens, what fun would that be?

I really enjoyed this book, it is a great addition to the first. I like how it continued right where the last one had left off, but this one is more geared on friendship and acceptance then the last one was. I love how there is always something new that can be learned by reading a book!

Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
