Sausage Tomato Tortellini Soup

Freezer Meal.

Ingredients
- 1 Lb ground Italian Sausage
- 24 oz jar of pasta sauce
- 15 oz can of cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
- 2.5 oz fresh baby spinach {about 3 handfuls}
- 1 Lb baby carrots {substitute with a bag of frozen peas and carrots}
- 1 Small onion, diced {substitute with 1/2 bag frozen chopped onion}
- 4 TSP chicken bullion granules
- 4 Cups of water {not needed until day of cooking}
- 19 oz bag of frozen tortellini {not needed until day of cooking}
Materials
- 1 gallon-sized plastic freezer bag
Prep
- Label your freezer bag with the name of the recipe, cooking instructions, and use-by-date {three months from when meal was prepped}.
- Add all ingredients except water and tortellini.
- Remove as much air as possible, seal and freeze up to three months.
- When ready to cook, thaw freezer bag overnight in refrigerator or in water in the morning and follow cooking directions.
Directions
- Add contents of freezer bag to crockpot.
- Add 4 cups of water.
- Cook on "low" 6- 8 hours, or until sausage is cooked through and carrots are soft.
- Add tortellini and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- Break apart sausage.
- Serve with fresh-baked garlic bread.
Notes
- Double recipe to make two freezer meals.
