Beef and Cabbage Soup

Freezer Meal.

Ingredients
- 1 Lb ground beef
- 1 Small cabbage {1.5 lbs sliced}
- 1 Small onion, diced {substitute with 1/2 bag frozen chopped onion}
- 4 Cloves garlic, minced
- 4 Carrots peeled and diced {substitute with a bag of frozen peas and carrots}
- 15 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 3 Bay leaves
- 1 TSP black pepper
- 1 TSP salt
- 32 oz beef broth {4 cups} {not needed until day of cooking}
Materials
- 1 gallon- sized plastic freezer bag.
To Freeze and Cook Later
- Label your freezer bag with the name of the recipe, cooking instructions, and
- “use-by” date {3 months from when you prepped the meal}.
- Add all ingredients to your freezer bag except broth.
- Remove as much air as possible, seal, and freeze.
- When ready to cook, thaw freezer bag overnight in refrigerator or in water in the
- morning and follow cooking directions below.
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in crockpot
- Add broth.
- And cook on “low” 8 hours.
- Break apart ground beef and stir.
- Serve with fresh bread.
Notes
- Double recipe to make two freezer meals.
