I do not claim this recipe as my own. I am simply sharing it on my blog for others to be able to find it. I like to have all the recipes I like in one place.

Beef and Cabbage Soup
Freezer Meal.
  1. 1 Lb ground beef
  2. 1 Small cabbage {1.5 lbs sliced}
  3. 1 Small onion, diced {substitute with 1/2 bag frozen chopped onion}
  4. 4 Cloves garlic, minced
  5. 4 Carrots peeled and diced {substitute with a bag of frozen peas and carrots}
  6. 15 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
  7. 3 Bay leaves
  8. 1 TSP black pepper
  9. 1 TSP salt
  10. 32 oz beef broth {4 cups} {not needed until day of cooking}
  1. 1 gallon- sized plastic freezer bag.
To Freeze and Cook Later
  1. Label your freezer bag with the name of the recipe, cooking instructions, and
  2. “use-by” date {3 months from when you prepped the meal}.
  3. Add all ingredients to your freezer bag except broth.
  4. Remove as much air as possible, seal, and freeze.
  5. When ready to cook, thaw freezer bag overnight in refrigerator or in water in the
  6. morning and follow cooking directions below.
  1. Combine all ingredients in crockpot
  2. Add broth.
  3. And cook on “low” 8 hours.
  4. Break apart ground beef and stir.
  5. Serve with fresh bread.
  1. Double recipe to make two freezer meals.
