{Let’s Go, Construction Trucks!: Scholastic Inc}

{Synopsis} – Make way for dump truck, steamroller, excavator, concrete mixer, bulldozer, and crane! I move dirt from place to place. I can clear out any space! I’m a dump truck.

In this second book in our innovative Let’s Spin novelty series, little readers are introduced to these important construction vehicles with fun, rhyming text that makes for a perfect read-aloud, with spinning cardboard wheels on every page! Toddlers will love interacting with their favorite construction trucks while learning, as a rhyming refrain on every spread invites them to spin the vehicle’s wheels. Text callouts of each vehicle’s name help to reinforce language acquisition at this young age. This series combines interactivity with light nonfiction, bright colorful art, and a rhyming refrain that will have kids singing — all at a great low price! Make the wheels spin, let construction begin!

{My thoughts} – Construction vehicles are always fun for a child to watch. Most children enjoy watching them, because to them they are pretty fascinating. In this book you get to see a dump truck, steamroller, excavator, concrete mixer, bulldozer and a crane. Many of these construction vehicles easily catch the attention of many children.

When reading through this book the first part of page with the construction vehicle has a short sentence about it and then the next page tells you to make the wheels spin. I am a huge fan of books that have hands on things for children to do. This book is made similar to the Let’s Go, Rescue Trucks book. My two year old daughter is a huge fan of that particular book and because of it this book was a huge hit in our house. She instantly fell in love and wants to keep having it read to her over and over again.

The wheels in this book spin like gears and they move when you move the opposite wheel. Children can spin these wheels as you are reading to them in order to keep them interested in the book more. My daughter loves to spin them over and over, she will page through the book even when sitting alone and just spin them and spin them. It’s something that she enjoys. Like the Let’s Go Rescue Trucks Book, this is another of her favorite books.

I love to see my kids happy and this book and the Let’s Go Rescue Trucks book are officially her favorites. If you have a little one that enjoys having books that are hands on and allow for children to be able to do things to help keep their attention on the book. This book helps to do that for them and it gives you as a parent the ability to finish reading the book to them so that they are able to enjoy it more and more.

Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
