{Synopsis} –What if you could become thin overnight?

Katherine Blythe is an overweight teenager who, on her sixteenth birthday, wishes to be thin, only to find her wish coming true with alarming side effects. As she loses over half her bodyweight in the span of a week, she finds the world is a different place when you look the way you're told you should.

But is her wish responsible for all this? Or is there something else going on—something distinctly supernatural?

About The Unloved Ones

Unpretty is the first of six prequels set in the world of The Unloved Ones, a YA Urban Fantasy series about seven vampire siblings who have one year to reduce their family to a single member, by whatever means necessary. The Prequels will introduce readers to the seven vampires before they meet each other, and before they can begin to understand the changes they are undergoing.

{My Thoughts} – This book is about a girl named Katherine Blythe. She has a best friend named Sarah that is the picture perfect cookie cutter girl. She has no worries and life seems to have been really good to her. She fits in all the right clothes and is overall adorably cute.

Katherine is the complete opposite. She is overweight. She is unhappy with her body and she isn’t happy with herself. She struggles with her inability to ignore her desires to eat and eat when she knows she shouldn’t.

On her birthday she makes a wish that changes everything. What would you do if you had the ability without knowing to make a wish that could change your entire life? Would you make such a wish? She made such a wish and then she had to learn to accept the wish that she made and the results of that wish.

The end of the book completely threw me. It was a “Did I really read that? Kind of ending. Overall this book is worth the read and I look forward to reading more in the series.

Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
